I started my cupcake shop in Salt Lake City because I live in the Beehive State and we did not have a cupcake shop in Utah. I fell in love with cupcakes during my extensive travels across the U.S. as a professional photographer. When I decided to find a new career to be home more, I focused on creating a cupcake business. I was frustrated that no cupcake shop would ship their cupcakes and I could not get a good coconut cupcake in Utah, now I understand why they did not ship. When I told my husband what I was going to do, he laughed and said, "OK but you don’t bake..." I retorted, "so I’ll learn." And learn I did, within three months of our conversation I had secured a commercial kitchen to cook out of, baked thousands of cupcakes, made tons of frosting, researched, failed, failed, failed, and then got it right. Weaseled my way into our farmers market, hustled my cuppies to shops around town for them to sale, sold tons and opened my own storefront within a year. Now, years later, there are dozens of cupcakes shops, coming and going year after year. We always stay on top of any competition that sets up because we’re better, we’re more creative, and we’re always fun. We specialize in baking from scratch, sourcing locally, re-creating cocktails into cupcakes, and baking nostalgic flavors with up to date flavors.
